1950’s and ’60’s Fender amps used an insulation board to go between the circuit board and chassis. The two layers were screwed to the chassis using sheet metal screws. I’m not a fan of that technique so I like to use standoffs to get the circuit board up off the chassis by a 1/4 inch or so. Do not twist the output transformer wires, especially the primary wires that run to the power tube sockets. Twisting them together can allow capacitive coupling and the loss of high frequencies.
